Clean Stormwater Only

MS4 Project - County of Berks, PA
Stormwater Photo - From MS4 Education and Outreach PowerPoint Presentation

Stormwater occurs when precipitation from rain or snowmelt flows over the ground and into the municipal storm sewer system.  The flow then enters our local waterbodies without being treated.

To help keep our local bodies clear and clean you can do your part by helping the Borough identify illicit discharge or pollution entering the stormwater system.  The everyday items below impact the municipal stormwater system:

  • Motor vehicle fluids
  • Household hazardous waste
  • Grass clippings and leaf litter
  • Animal wastes

Please notify the Borough Office if you feel you have seen an illicit discharge.
